Ok first does anyone have an Explorer Porcomp dual steering stabilizer?
I really dont think anyone does after my run in with them.
I ordered a set of 35" Pro Comp XT's and a dual steering stabilizer through 4wheelparts, well first they told me that the tires were backordered because Procomp broke the mold when moving it at the factory, and I would get them as soon as procomp shipped some out. Well thats been two months and I still haven't recieved anything, they were supposed to leave the factory on Jan 22 and then go to 4wheelparts then to me, well I still haven't heard anything, but I did get my money back a couple of weeks ago. enough about that bit of BS and on to the major BS!
After waiting alomst 3 weeks for the stabilizers to come in I go to put them on and there are no instructions, but I figure it cant be that hard and start the assembly well after about 45 minutes of not getting any where I call procomp and they fax me a copy, then I found out what the problem is, I have the wrong brackets! Ok well this sucks but no big deal I wil just call them and tell them and get the right ones! Well procomp says I have to call 4wheelparts first and see if they can get the new ones, so I call 4wheelparts and they say well thats the right part number you need to call prcomp and tell them the problem. SO I call procomp and they look everything up and the guy says... this is great... thats the right kit for the 89-94 Ford Explorer with a 2.9 litre v-6 and the dana 28 front end..... my jaw hit the floor, the what I said, so he repeated it, and I told him first there is no 89 X and they never came with a 2.9 or a dana 28 so he says yes they did, what does yours have? of course I said 4.0 and D35 he says wow I have never heard of that combo, the X has the same engine and suspension as a Bronco II and these kits fit broncoII's so I tell him they dont have the same, and coonfuse him even more, he tells me that I must have a special X or maybe someone swapped all that stuff from a bigger truck (as if any "bigger truck came with a D35 and 4.0) so I told him no I know of hundreds if not thousands of 91-94 X's with the same setup STOCK! so he checks around and finally comes back and says well you are right, I guess we just dont make a kit for the first gen X's then. So I guess I will call 4wheelparts and see if they will order a rancho kit and take back the Procomp kit.
it has been two months and a day since my order for my tires, and still NO NEW rubber for me
