Background:

I just picked up a 1992 Explorer 4x4 as a second car/project vehicle. I'm not planning on going nuts with this as the goal is simple: make it dead nuts reliable, and make it just a tad more capable for what it'll see 99.9999999999% of the time: the occasional drive down the beach, curb hopping, and random unpaved roads.

The goal:

2" lift via shackles and leveling coils

The problem:

I'm writing up the parts list of what I need to order (coils, shocks, shackles, tires), and, while thinking of past builds, I realized something:

Do you really need longer brake lines on an Explorer running such a small lift?

So would it be recommendable to get longer brake lines, or can I leave them as is?

Thanks in advance y'all.

FWIW, I have a 2" lift on mine and didn't need longer brake lines.
