Probably a stupid question about a Serp. Belt

i have to change mine (never done iit before but looks fairly easy). I read another thread in this forum about changing it....Do i need to remove the fan? and how do i get the belt out and put a new one in with the fan in the way?

Nope- release the tensioner (will be shown on your radiator support or in the writeups) and pass the belt between the ban and the shroud.

Lol i got it...PITA to hold the tensioner while putting the belt over the last pulley.

Think THESE are a PITA? Piece of cake compared to, say, '66-'67 full-sized Pontiac which used at LEAST 6 or 7 different belt schemes, pulley diams., etc. Even the parts stores couldn't sell you the right one first try! Then, try to install 'em! imp
