stupid question about back glass

Got a dumb question. Father in law shattered my back glass on my '02 sport. Its an April build so that means a glass mounted wiper. I can pick up back glass at a junkyard for about 40 bucks but having trouble finding glass mounted wiper. Can anyone tell me #1: does it really matter if I do glass mounted wiper......I don't need the wiper and will happily just tie off those wires....and #2: what other back glass will fit.....again, no wiper necessary?

Sorry, I don't have an answer for your 2002 sport, you may get some help if you move your question into the 3rd gen forum.

Yeah i posted in here because it said people with sports go here. Maybe since I have a later build I shkuld go to third gen.

To answer my own question.....went to salvage yard today and did some measuring. Found a '98 sport and took a gamble on the glass. Everything fits perfectly. Just cut off the wiper assembly wires, used wire nuts and tape for safety sake, and hid them in the molding. Perfect fit! All better for $42.
