problem with my subs

I have two Infinity Reference 12s and a Boss pd3000 amp. These subs have been great but the other day i noticed a problem. I put my mower in the trunk and unhooked the subs and made sure the wires were not touching. I hooked them back up and they worked fine. Now the subs sound like crap. They are not loud at all and the quality is horrible. When I unhook one rca from the amp, the sub works fine and is loud and clear. When I have them both plugged in, the subs sound horrible. It almost feels like the amp is being overpowered yet the subs dont kick.

phase. check how you plugged them back in. i'll bet you $20 you plugged a sub back in outta phase (backwards).
