Is anyone familiar with problems that can occur from water damage or other damage that may occur to the computer on the Ford Ranger after a windshield is replaced? I don't know all the proper mechanical terms to use but my son's Ford Ranger Edge 2004 has been having problems for 3-4 wks. Initially, the O/D light would come on and the truck would lose power - felt like it was in neutral - RPMs moved but no increase in MPH. After multiple episode of this - intermittant with 50 mile stints of no problems - then the truck started just cutting off after one of these episodes of lost power. On several occasions the truck would restart after waiting for 10 to 15 minutes and recranking the truck. Eventually, the truck got to the point where it would not crank at all. Battery and alternator are fine. Local dealership says there is nothing wrong with it in spite of the fact that we had to have it TOWED there since it would not run. They drove it today with not problems. HELP. please!!!!!
