Oh I saw it, Jerry. It has the recall harness on it . See the orange/blue/white tag above the switch? They won't replace the switch under the recall unless it's leaking.;)

Sorry Steve, I didn't know what the orange/blue/white tag was. Thanks for teaching me that. Learn something new everday.

located the crack in the trans, it is in the 4x4 tail housing extension. Anyone know where to get a new one or even a used one. checked ebay, none on there right now. Got a trans guy that will rebuild for half the price of a reman. Not that I need to know to do it(cuz im not), but what gets replaced in a rebuild? and will it correct the 2-3 shift flare?

A friend that runs a transmission repair shop got me a used one from a core service, good as new. I'll see if I still have the box it came in and get you the name of the core service.

trans is out!! will post pics in a bit. Turns out it was either replaced or rebuilt in 6/2006. Has date painted inside bellhousing from some guy here in baltimore.

Where are the casting numbers for the 5r55e, and what should it say?

Still not sure why it wouldnt move unless it just got too low on fluid. Pan gasket looks torqued down too tight(squeezing out side)

was a hairline crack in the 4x4 adapter, most likely caused by someone forgeting to install one of the 5 Trans to TCase bolts!!!!!!(missing), but was up top, dont think it would leak?
TCase looks sealed up nice, might just get a new motor to make sure it works right.

Casting is P97GT-7006 - ??
