ok so here is the intake on the x when i bought it. Now i read about cutting the inner fender open for better flow and i read someone wondered if a heat shield could be built around the filter.
Well first off this is a rough prototype i used some spare metal from my work. Once i get measurements exact and some fine tuning i'll get more and use our machine shop to cut the.opening for the tube better. I will be.insulating the edges with foam to ensure an airtight fit. So is this the "idea".everyone had in mind. It has some fine tuning with the maf sensor spacing.
