PSA: Check your rear sway bar bushings

Went to do rear brakes today and discovered both of my factory rear sway bar bushings totally popped out of their brackets.

Bracket nuts were still tight. Rear end wasn't making any noise, but I'm sure cornering was affected.

Were your sway bar links damaged because of the "extra" movement ?
 






I recently had a surprise with the front sway bar. I'll post up some pics tonight!

Nope, they were still supple, springy, and tight. In fact, I had to pry on them a bit to get the sway bar back into place and they were tight and bounced right back.

Now that I'm thinking about it, the dealer replaced the rear links under warranty a few years ago...I wonder if they are responsible for the chewed up/failed bushings...
