Just noticed that Menards is selling Quaker State Full Synthetic engine oil 5W-30 at $2.99 per quart after $2 rebate. It is about $18 per 6 quart after rebate and before tax.

I have been using Mobile 1 full Synthetic and that was about $33 per 6 quart. I am considering to use Quaker State if it is good.

ANyone has the experience with Quaker State Full Synthetic oil? I have 98 EB V8 5L with about 106K miles on it.

First of all, a true full synthetic is going to run about $8-$10/qt. Mobil 1 "full" synthetic is not actually a full synthetic thanks to Castrol and a court ruling on the term "full synthetic". You just need to know that.

Other than that, I'm sure it's fine if you stay on top of regular change intervals.

So this might not be a 'full synthetic' if we base on the price?

Quaker State is owned by Shell. Shell is one of the few real manufacturers of oil and their syntethic, as far as I read, is "true".

For comparation, Castrol don't make their own oils...
