Morning,
Just wondering if anyone has replaced their factory head unit's with a nice after market GPS system. (Double Din's/Single Din's that flip up and look good). As I look back on my purchase I think I should have just sucked it up and gone with the factory "Audiophile/GPS" system. But I didn't :(
Anyone have some pics of what they've done?? Any recommendations?
Ciao

There are those little portable GPS units - like TomTom and such. You may want to look into those

Yeah,
that's the direction I'm leaning towards. I haven't seen any 2006's with single or double din installs on the net as of yet, or maybe I just missed them. I'm guessing it's going to be a little tougher now that they've moved the shifter down between the seats where it looked like there was ample room before for a nice sized screen. I've yet to see my Explorer so I'm clueless as to what kind of options I have available for install locations. If I do go with a portable sysytem I'd still like to get it installed somewhere so it looks clean. Not just stuck on the dash or windshield.....
