ive had the entire brake system changed 3 times including master cylinder within 18k miles. the last time it was changed was aprox 15.5k miles. since then they have been all smooshy and weak, i often find myself having to down shift to stop safely. i asked my service writer about this and Quality Control said that it was normal. i plan on going back to the dealer again but my main question is about the brake fluid. how long should it last? i know that normally the fluid is suppoded to look like apple juice or olive oil but mine has layers. i opened the cap and the fluid on the top is all clear and on the bottom it is all sludgy and black. blech! i dont drive the car hard mainly 'cause im scared of it. in addition to which i live in south florida and i drive like a native floridiot. slow and in the way hehe. but im stuck with the car for another year and i finally want to get it right.
