Question about explorer year model

I have a question On my explorer year model.
On my Ceritficate of title it says (year model 92) but when i was doing some work on the explorer i was looking at the sticker on the door and it says 12/91 does this mean it was made in december 1991 but is a 1992 model.
I just wsat to know so when i buy part's i dont buy the wrong parts.

Your are correct, its a '92 model year but made in '91. If you look now, there are alot of '05s out, but its obviously '04. We have an '02, but it was made in '01. Similar situation you have.

No yours is a '92 still. That's right about before they switch over to making the '93 model. If you want to check and see for sure go to www.carfax.com and put in your VIN number. You don't have to buy anything there; it will tell you what year it is for free.
