I have a 2000 Ranger and the battery light is on and the gauge is reading low. I have replaced the battery. I also had the alternator tested on the truck and bench tested. On the truck it was not reading, bench tested it read fine. I have checked all connections and everything seems fine. Someone mentioned a fuseable link. Where would that be. I have looked all over but have not found it. Would it also be possible for the 125A Mega fuse to be bad?

Thanks for the help...

Thanks

Thanks I have tried that and not found anything that looks bad. I'll have to give it another try

on my 93 the battery cable corroded inside the clamp
on my 07 the clamp is different.
anyway check voltage in cable themselves

Thanks. I have cleaned those. Still not the problem. I guess it has to be a broken wire somewhere. Thanks for the help.

my cable was broke INSIDE of clamp, it looked good from the outside, but when I tested for continuity from the wire to the battery clamp there was little. Again your clamp may be different from my 93

Thanks for that info. I will have to check that. Certainly worth a try.
