- 2002 XLS 4.0 V6
Hello friends, I would like to see if this is normal.
My 2002 Ford Explorer xls 4.0 v6 runs smooth and shifts through all the gears with out any problems, hell it shifts so nice I cant eve notice when it shifts.
But... When I took it on the highway at 60 to 70 mph RPM would stay at 1800 to 2000 Isnt that high or should it be around 1500
Ohh and how many speeds to these things have 5 or 6
because I can see it shift 5 times and the RPM would go down to to 1500 and when reaching the speed 60 to 70 it goes to 1800 and 2000 and it stays there
