Question about OEM Nerf Bars

Hey guys I found some nerf bars on Ebay, and they didn't say what year X they were off of. So I emailed them and this was there reply.

We're not sure. But they should fit any year.

I'm just wondering if this is true, or if somebody could tell me for sure wether or not these Nerf bars would fit just by looking at them. Here's a pic.

I have a 99 XLS with the option package that came with the nerf bars and fender flares. I have those same nerf bars on my X. I have only seen those on the 99-01 XLS and XLT and 97-00 Sports. They should probably fit, but you should match them up first because the four door and two door nerf bars are two different sizes I beleive.

If i'm not mistaken... I believe those are for a Sport. I think the ones on the 4 doors have 4 mounting brackets where these only have 3. Obviously, the ones for the Sport are going to be shorter.

I agree with hokiebert. sports have 3 brackets and 4 doors have 4 brackets. those appear to be off a 95-00 sport and should fit your 01. They do rust rather quickly though...throw a nice coat of wax on them regularly.
