I bought my 98 Explorer Sport SOHC v-6 about a year ago and I have a quick question. Is there any way to tell if the chip has been reprogrammed? I've read elsewhere in the forum that I should have a limited top speed of around 95, but after about two days of owning the truck, I was above 115 before I had to slow down. It felt like there was quite a bit of room left also, and it redlines right at 6000 RPM. I kind of figure that the previous owner did something to it. The only thing I have done is put in a flowmaster exhaust.
