question about tire size

I currently have a 97' Eddie Bauer. I'm looking to put on wider wheels because the Eddie Bauer edition has those wide wheelwells that looks terrible with stock tires. Because of money issues I'm looking to stay with 15" or 17" rimes, but I really want to have wheels that are flush or stick out a little with the wheelwell. I just the right size tires to put on my truck. I'm tired of having a wide truck with tiny little tires that look too narrow. If anyone can help I really appreciate it. Thanks, Fran

the eddie bauer came with wider wheels/tires than xlt/xls. if you really want to move you're tires out, cheapest route would probably to get some spacers. or why not just remove the flares.

stock Backspacing is about 4.5". Alot of people run 3.75" of backspacing on 15x8 wheels. That may help provide the look you want or maybe even a 15x8 wheel with 3.25" backspacing, will possibly stick out past the flare.
