Question about trans removal

1996 4x4 explorer. Almost done pulling the trans but do you have to remove the part of the exauhst where it feeds to the cat? We have one bolt left on the bellhousing on the upper passenger side real pain to get to and break loose. And we are debating if we need to take that part of the exauhst out to drop the trans. Any tips?
 






I had to remove the cat converter when I removed my tranny. Made life a lot easier!
 






Donor trans is in. Got it out of a roll over. No metal shaving/flakes in pan, fluid looked good. New filter pan gasket. New front pinion seal, got to get a speedy sleeve for the shaft of it before we refill the diff. Should be rolling tomorrow.
