Hello everyone,
Late to the FORScan reprogramming game. I picked up a HD enabled ACM from eBay (part# EB5T-19C107-FA) and planned on installing it this weekend. Thank you to all the work everyone put into determining the correct bits to change to enable it. I would like someone to confirm (sanity check) my planned changes before I actually make the changes.
APIM needs to be changed
My current (as built) is:
7D0-01-01: 2221 1000 6B97
but to enable the soft button I'll need the following for
7D0-01-01: 2221 1003 6B97
For the ACM, my understanding is that I need to use FORScan to backup my existing programming of the ACM. Once the HD capable ACM is installed, back up the HD ACM original settings (for safe keeping) and then write the as-built data of my original ACM to the HD ACM, but change
727-01-01: 1A01 3808 008B
to
727-01-01: 1201 3808 008B
Is that it?
What is the sound fix for and is it necessary that I found listed in the FORScan 2011-2015 Explorer spreadsheet?
Since my Explorer is a XLT 2014, do I use the 01 for XLT w/Sync (what it currently is in the as-buit) or do I use the hd fix and use 0F instead?
Thank you for taking the time to read this and any info you can offer.
