I was wondering if anyone out there knew if there was a difference between the explorer 5 speed (Mazda) and the 5 speed ranger transmissions, if they are the same what years are they the same?
I tried to look it up and what I found is that the explorers and rangers used the same transmissions from 1983 till 1998 with the exception of a Mitsubishi transmission that was put in rangers with smaller V-6's from 1985 to 1992.
Does this seem like the right information?
