Question for the European guys

I was reading through threads and noticed a load of recall’s, one in particular in relation to the cam belt pulley making noise on start up due to oil not getting in or something similar. The reason i ask is that my X occasionally makes this clanking sound when starting up and goes away after a couple of minutes. Did we have a recall on this in Europe?

I've just been in to my local Ford Dealership and asked for a list of all recals for my'97 SOHC and nothing came up so I guess no!!!

I think you are talking about 00m12 which is to do with the cam chain tensioner and lower intake gaskets. Technically it is not a recall but a maintenance note. Terms and conditions apply and yes ours are covered. Take it to a dealer and do a search on 00m12 there is a print out you can take with you.

As far as Ford in the UK said, they have cancelled the Extended Warranty for the '00M12'!!!!
Not sure whether to believe them or not?!!!!
