Well, you'll probably want to do the torsion twist no matter what. Its an easy way to get 2" of lift. Combine that with a body lift and you'll get 5" for under $200.
Since you have the manual, you'll need to buy the extension for the shifter as well. Its the same as the Ranger one. I think its another $14 or so.
As far as tools and knowledge... back when I did mine I had little knowledge about body lifts. You just gotta do it! If you can change your oil.. you can install a body lift!
Tools.. you'll need a floor jack, some jack stands, sockets, some channel locks and vise grips.. hammer (big one!).. a drill and 1/2" bit... some 4x4s to place between the jack and your body.
