I really registered to get one question answered, and I'd like to know where you experts think I should post it. It's about HOW to remove the rear seats from a 2001 Explorer. Not the "back" (that will lay flat when folded), but the "seat" part of the rear seats. I know this isn't the place to post this... but can someone tell me where on these boards I should? Thanks... and great board. I might stick around. :)

welcome to the site.. they should unbolt via the brackets jsut under the seats

Thanks Jim... you think when they go BACK on (after they've been removed) the bolts will be nice and tight? I've never screwed with seat bolts before--- don't want them to be loose.

why do you need to remove the seats? they should be fine...

I'm transporting something that is a few inches longer than the flat part of the bed, without the seat bottom (which kinda flips up into that area) it would fit perfectly.
