whats up guys....lemme say again..real cool site

anyway....i know yous have newbie forum, but it seems that theres not much activity there, so i figured id ask here

im not really familiar with too much **** you guys talk about.....so im wondering where could i learn some things about off roading...is there a book i can get or what...

yous talk about a lot of what seems to be really cool and interesting mods, but a lot of what your saying i have no idea about..like parts...certain mods and what they do etc.....so instead of asking 8000000 stupid questions, i figured i would get something to read so i can get up on off roading..

thanks

prof.

Hey I had no idea about a lot of things when I first joined the site.

What I did was just read a whole bunch of threads, and did searches on things that interested me. My job however allows me to sit on the net for 9+ hrs a day

Just read up on some of the things that you are interested in and im sure that you'll find a lot of answers to your questions. :D have fun!!

hehe...i get to sit on the net as well for my job...you wouldnt happen to be an IT guy would you?.......ive noticed a lot of common things between IT guys....

Are you not sure on the terms used here, or about general off roading procedures, or how stuff works...what are you in need of?

Yep, what Premier said. Spend enough time here and you'd learn real fast. Don't be afraid to ask questions.
Sometimes that is the only way you gonna know everything. Just don't ask me, coz I don't know sh*t. :D

im just not a "car/truck" guy... its just parts etc...i have no idea about like suspension...gear ratios..i mean i know what gear ration is..but like why you would use one over the other..things like that....this is my first truck..i mean ive been into wheeling since i was like 17..lots of dudes had some really cool trucks in my HS..im 24 and have a truck..

im saying i need to start with the basics...wet vs dry case...i dunno if that makes sense or what it is..

basically..i need to start like i was 4 and learning how to read..

lol..sorry for being such a newbie..but its just how it is..

thanks for everyones positive replies...at leat i didnt get flamed yet...lol

Well then *cracks knuckles*

Question number 1. To get your 94 looking like Ricks 93, will take some big $$$$$....maybe something smaller is needed?

Here is the deal with this place.
there are no dumb questions.
We all had to learn at one point in time.
There is much to learn here and much to share.
There is room for everybody here.

LOL yea I work in IT  This is the first job i've had like this(normally did construction/hard labor) It is super easy, but I am not too sure I want to do it for a living. I am only 20 and I have BIG plans for my future :D :D I plan on going back to school this spring and am debating on what to do... I think it might be fun to be a shrink, plus it pays REALLY well.

dude you can make well over 180K in IT and still sit online all day...really.....im 24 and have a degree....i chill and make a good living...came in well over the entry level pay..and i still get to have fun...IT is a real cool career provided you excel at it...its one of those things you have to be part of the elite....where as a shrink..you all pretty much know the same **** and do the same thing..no offense...but with IT..theres lots of **** to be superior at..which justs adds to what u can make..

I meant what his looked like in the "1st stage"...not how it is now, with the fiberglass body modifications and what not.
