My Duralast battery MAY have crapped itself and if I choose to not get it replaced under warranty then I'd like to upgrade to this battery - http://www.summitracing.com/parts/xsp-d2700. The question is, the BCIs on both batteries are different. My Duralast Gold is a 65 and the XS Power is a 27. Would this pose a problem since they're different ratings? I personally don't think so but want input from you guys. Thanks!

super battery

That seems like way more battery capacity than you need for a V6 which doesn't take much to crank. The deep cycle capability is good if you run a lot of accessories when the engine isn't running. The taller height of the battery may be a problem with the battery cables reaching.

Instead of spending $339+ on a "XS power" AGM battery, you could spend $200 or less and get a USA-made Odyssey Battery with a 4-year full replacement warranty and 100-month pro-rated warranty;

The DieHard Platinum batteres are just re-badged Odyssey AGM batteries, made in the USA by EnerSys.

They also go on sale for ~$175 every so often if you want to save a little more.

I'd say replace the Duralast under warranty, sell it, then use the money towards whatever you decide to get.

Thanks for the answers everyone. I felt that the BCI # wouldn't make a big difference. I'm in the fan club "go big or go home" :) Height or cable reach won't be a problem with the XS. Reserve capacity is good if I go to a field party and need to use my led bar or stereo while the Ex is off.
