Has anyone here found a quick and easy wiring technique to disconnect a subwoofer from a multi-channel amplifier that also powers speakers? I need this to quickly take out the subwoofer if I need the cargo room, but want to still have the speakers run off the amp. Is it ok to even do this with a multi channel amp?

Here's the way I did it: I wired both subs to a banana plug receptacle on the speaker box and put banana plugs on the ends of the wires going from the amp to the subs. All I do is unplug the wires and take the box out. I usually turn the amp off also just so it doesn't use power, but I think you can keep it on to power the other speakers as long as the now loose ends don't touch.
