Quick qestion on speed grills

I've been looking around on here and haven't been able to find anaswer to my quetion, so I figured I'd just ask. For those of you that have speed grills, how do you open your hood? I know on mine the grill would cover the access to the safey latch lever (or whatever you want to call if . If someone could help me out that would be great.

I also am alittle stumped about that situation. I have heard people use a flathead screwdriver to lift the latch or install a relocation latch, or something , to move it.

ya i got it, check out the pics in my sig. and YES i need a screwdriver to pop it. its not hard to do though, but i keep one handy inside my X at all times

I've got a 2000 and the latch is above the grill. I wonder if you could swap out the older latch system for a newer one like mine. . .for the newer body style anyway.

I figured it had to be something like a screw driver. Thanks for helping to clear that up for me.
