quick question about 31' tires

will they rub on a 1996 explorer awd. i just picked up a set of mickey tompson 31' and it looks like its gunna be a tight fit. i will put a lift on eventually but i dont have much patience and would like them on asap. just curious if they will rub over speed bumps or anything? thanks for your help!

well its different from vehicle to vehicle but most likely you will not rub. If you do end up rubbing just do the TT and get some war153 shackles. If you cant wait for the war153 shackles then go by your local autozone and get some of their shackles. Probably would want to eventually switch out to the War153 once you can though. I think it took me about 2-3 hrs to do the TT and shackle lift and I was taking my time.

the autozone ones are pretty cheap and not anywhere as well made as the war153. If you dont want to buy the War153 from the internet because I think they cost around $90 with shipping you can just search for the measurements someone posted on here. Its on a diagram and you can go to a local welding shop and have them made in about an hour or so. I paid $75 for mine to be made but you might be able to find cheaper.
