Quick Speaker Question Anybody could Answer

Ok, I'm planning on taking a dremel and cutting those ugly speaker grilles out. I forgot the size and am currentyl at work D) haha. Could somebody measure those for me pretty plz! I was gunna order the set i have been looking at today and totally forgot to measure

The door speakers are 6x8" but they don't mount to the door panels, they mount tot the actual door itself.

I know this Rebel Im talking about the grille thats molded to the door panel... I already have new speakers and wanna get new grilles that show them off. I guess I'll measure them on my lunch break and show you what i mean

Do you have the round palstic grilles, I'm guessing or the rectungular metal ones like me?

another grille haha. An aftermarket speaker grille from sonixelectronix.

How about a link to a wide variety of grilles...

Mind you, they say "Subwoofer Grilles" but a grille is a grille is a grille. The grille in the door panel is round so i cant see why one of these wouldn't work.

well, just measured it and its 7.5" in diameter... which blows my plans outta the sky...

Guess I'll have to think of something else...

I know your door panel is different but this is how the speaker looks through my doors. Your grille is offset more towards the rear so you wouldn't see too much of the actual speaker, right.

From what I remember, when I put my speakers in a month or so ago They were pretty much central with the grill...
My plan B:
Are those door panels you have compatible with my 2001??

Yep, '01-03 Ex Sports and '01-05 ST's, I don't know if the 2nd Gen Ex doors will fit our doors or not but might be worth looking into. I know my wifes' '97 Mounty has the same doors, atleast they look the same as far as the whole shape of door panel.

I think the front door panels might work but the rears are different.

ya the rears look like the speaker is a lot higher...

I just pulled the cloth off the back of the grille, and you can see the speaker pretty well.
