So the other day i was heading up a very STEEP long hill, me and two other passengers. As i was accelerating up the hill i noticed the when it was shifting its was almsot "chugging" or "bucking". Ive had the X for about 1.5 months. Since i got it have done:
Oil Change - Mobil 1 full synthetic/1 bottle engine restore w/ Fram double gaurd high mileage filter
Air Filter - Fram double gaurd 4x4
Trans Filter - Fram w/ 5-6 quarts Valvoline Max Life 75K+ (suitable for use where Mercon V is called for)
Spark Plugs - Autolite double platinum
New spark plug wires
New valve cover gaskets ( it was leaking down on the exhaust) smelled nasty!
New Toyo Open Country A/T - P265/70R15
New shocks - Mountain Ryder ( Les Schwabb)
New PCV valve
I also cleaned the MAF and as much as i could of the throttle body and butterfly.
The Tranny fluid was more on the red side when i did the change w/ no burnt odor. I did the filter just for piece of mind. It does shift ok but now and again will hold a slight rpm then shift. But nothing like a definate slippage thats really noticeable. When i bought the rig he told the previous owner had the transmisson replaced at 40K, he bought it with 45K and i bought it from him with 162K. Could it just be an adjustment or is this baby on its way out?
Thanks and sorry for the rambling
