Hey everyone!
I wanted to say a quick hello first since this is my first post here. I have been lurking for a few weeks and decided to register. I have found a lot of useful information here! I tried a search but couldn't find a direct answer for my question below.
Now that the warm days are around the corner I need to recharge my air conditioner. I have a kit to recharge it but I need someone to tell me if I'm on the right line (low pressure side). I have a '97 5.0 and the only place I found the quick connect adaptor would work is on the passerger side in the engine compartment. I think its right on by the dryer. The reason I'm confused is there is a green cap on the drivers side that says low pressure service port but it is threaded. There is also another quick connect line in front of the one with the green cap but is smaller than my adaptor. Can someone tell me for sure which one is correct. I had no problem with my wife's Honda but the X is a little different. Does Ford require a special adaptor? Thanks for any help.
