Radiator drain valve drip

Changed my TS the other day so I drained the radiator in the process. Now I have a drip coming from the drain valve every ten minutes or so. Leaving a small wet spot everywhere I stop for while. I tightened as tight as I can by hand since its plastic.

Question: Can just the plastic wing nut screw be replaced or even wound all the way out to put some Teflon tape on it?

You could wrap teflon tape around it.

i think you can buy a replacement drain valve from the Dorman HELP section at most auto parts stores, or you can take it to the hardware store and get a new o-ring for your old one.

Will it screw out all the way? I just don't want to force it and break something.

mine screwed out until the end of the threads and then i pulled it out with a pair of pliers. it has these two plastic fingers/hooks on the end that stop it from falling out, but you can easily pull it out all the way. then you'll see the rubber seal on the plug. it has a tiny o-ring that makes the seal.
