i pulled mine out little over a year ago to paint it and change hoses its not to bad just a little time consuming about 8 beers long give or take a beer :)

oh sorry 75 bucks is really not to bad but i wouldnt pay someone to do it

You have a limited so I'm pretty sure you have an automatic transmission. The hardest part will be pulling the transmission cooler lines. You'll need a long wrench or wrench extension and it will be difficult getting leverage for the bottom line unless you've got a long enough wrench or extension. Other than that, it's easy and it helps to have a haynes manual. I'd replace the hoses and possibly t-stat while I was in there too.

If you end up doing it yourself, make sure to spray the hell outta where the transmission cooler lines go into the radiator with some wd40. When me and a friend did his, the lines wouldnt turn inside of the stud because of rust, and it ended up twisting and wrecking the metal tubing. 75 bucks seems like a waste of money for something so easy though

I've replaced the radiator in mine, three words.
"Piece of cake!"
Do it yourself, because when you do things yourself, you know what you did and what's in it, only thing left is to pray it keeps working. :D

i agree with warform completely the better you know your truck and DIY the less you have to give ole mister greasy mechanic

Tranny cooler is the worst part

The adaptors that connect to the transmission lines do not come with the replacement. Mne just spun in the radiator and I had to cut open the radiator end cap and put the brass in a vice to get them. NAPA couldn't come up with any replacements. Fan clutch has to come out in order to get the shroud. So you need to borrow that special tool from Autozone. I finally made one from a sheet metal wrench. Not on hard but the space is tight.
