Tempted to say, "yep.. shoulda checked it first!" only cos i'm guilty of such a crime myself!!!

Ford radios often "rebooted" with a spell in the fridge/airing cupboard. Certainly sorted my screen issues. Don't suppose you've got the paperwork to take to the Fraud dealership??

Found this on the moneysaving expert.com website..

Seen a couple of guys doing it on ebay for about £10-£20 but then you can get a NEW radio for that on TheBay..

Pull the radio out, if you don't have the right tool us a couple of pieces of coat hanger bent into a U. Find a serial number (M12345678)

If you PM your serial number i will reply with the code tommorrow morning or straight away if you can do it before 12 today

Or you can down load the code calculator from here at your own risk http://www.eserviceinfo.com/downloadsm/15531/Ford_any.html

But it doesn't work with windows 7 and prob not with Vista either

I have it on an old laptop so let me know if you need me to do the code

Thanks for the link, have downloaded the program.

Thanks for the link, have downloaded the program.

I believe that link downloads 2 different code programs but the only one you will need is the m. once open it will show as an image of the radio and you have to click on the m serial number box then type in your code. Then hover the mouse somewhere around IIRC the button 6 or just below it until you get a + sign then left click (just tried it and it is just below the 6 button at the edge of the radio image in line with the right hand edge of the button, if that makes sense). To close the program hover around the on/off knob then click once you have the +

Also if you have "locked 10" or "locked 13" you can try the procedure below;
try to keep pressed "1" and "6" or only "6" and you have more chans

or

Try this:

1. Drivers door open - leave open.
2. Ign. ON. - Use RED key only.
3. Radio ON.
4. Press and hold presets 1, 3 and 6.
5. Ign. OFF then back ON within 1 second.
6. Release presets 1, 3 and 6.
7. Radio OFF.
8. Ign. OFF.
Repeat the above the same number of times that is showing on the display when you started. i.e: 10 or 13.
