Radio Display Problems

Hi. I've got a 1998 Ford Explorer EB with the Mach premium sound. The display will slowly fade to dead at times then come back on. It doesn't affect the sound at all,,,it's just annoying..Any thoughts??

Do a search for "radio display fix" or something like that, there are several good threads explaining what the cause is and how to fix it. It worked on mine.

You probably don't want to hear it but a new aftermarket HU is the best answer to your problem.

I have 2 of the POS factory HU ( CD/Cassette ) in my junk pile in the garage right now.

Yes , works fine except the display. Yes they are available.
