radio placement?????

so before i rip apart the 99 sport i just got...... woo hoo new ex.....
i wanna know if anyone has removed the vents above the radio spot and used that space to install the radio???? i wanna use the space below for my gps. i guess im just not sure if i could get enough space in there to fit a radio...

If you take the vents out and redo the duct work so that it's sealed in the back, it should fit a single din.
Of course, it requires a lot of fiberglass work..
