Radio Signal Booster: How much is 15 dB?

Crutchfield has a radio signal booster for $15. It has has 15 dB, how much more is that?

Sorry, I really do not know that much about radio signals and there strength.

well look at it like this

3 db of boost is TWICE the original power
6 db of boost is FOUR TIMES the original power
9 db of boost is EIGHT TIMES the original power
12 db of boost is SIXTEEN TIMES the original power

For every 3 db of boost the power must be doubled. This is why bass boost is bad.

I'm not sure how that applies to the antenna though

id say 15 is a decent amount you should be able to tell the difference
