I just bought a 2002 Mountaineer and 2 weeks after driving it home the electronics started acting up.

The radio stays on for about 10 minutes after the vehicle is turned off and the doors have been opened.

The power seats quit working completely at the same time the radio thing happened.

The sun roof also quit working.

For a few weeks before all of this happened...the interior lights would randomly stay on. From what I have learned from this forum this seems to be a latch problem that is easily fixed with some WD-40.

Although the other problems do not seem to be related to the door latch..it is hard to tell. Electical components do some crazy things. Any advice would be appreciated.

If you leave the radio on and turn the key it will stay on till either of the front doors open for over 10min. One of the front doors latch is sticking is my guess so when you open the door the truck doesn’t 'see it' and turn the delay accessories off.

Powerseats have an option that when the driver door is open they move to allow easy access, it might be related, now i'm thinking drivers door latch is the problem.

...pesky fuse.

Nice cheap fix but the fuse gets me every time.

Thanks for the advice jrford.
