Started raining while driving and I caught a drip out of the corner of my eye.

It then became just short of a steady stream. Now that I’ve stopped, so has the drip. Unless it’s going down the A-pillar.

Is this caused by a blocked sunroof drain? Or is it more likely a bad windshield seal?

if yours is like a 2g id lean sunroof drain, or the tube for the drain coming off. happened on this one and looked near identical placement at least on a 2g

yeah, i was just saying if your truck is like this 2g, it should be similiar. not saying it is that, since no direct experience with a 3g, but if the 3g is like a 2g

In my case the drain tube had fallen off. Once I put it back on it's been dry. It's easy, just remove the pillar after removing the two bolts holding the handle on and pull down the headliner. I cleaned the nipple and inside the tube and used a couple of drops of super glue to make sure it doesn't fall off again.
On a side note I was wondering where the blue stuff on the back of my headliner was coming from. It occurred to me it was windshield cleaner. I pulled the upper rear brake lens and sure enough the tube had fallen off there too.

Having read some more, I’m fairly confident it’s the drain tube. I’m guessing there’s one on both sides.

I read there are 4 drain tubes, one on each corner. If you pull on the drain tube to make sure it can be pushed all the way onto the nipple be careful to not pull very hard or you will be sorry. One guy pulled it out and described the ordeal getting it back in.

I solved my leak in that area by sealing the entire sunroof with silicone...also the top of windshield, just in case it was coming from there.

Don't forget to disconnect the power coupling afterward so you don't accidentally press the open button out of habit.

Drain tubes. The sunroof on mine leaks like crazy but as long as the tubes are connected and clear it doesn't hurt anything. In my case it was the right front one. I blew out the other 3 with compressed air just to be sure.

I looked into getting a new seal and some guy on ebay wanted like $89 for a strip of rubber. I'll silicone it shut before I spend that kind of money on a strip of rubber.
