I just ran my buddies 96 cobra. I hooked and pulled him to 100mph and then he pulled me. The 4.6 doesnt make power til the high rmp range. I though my X did pretty good for itself..... i just wish my tranny would shift a little higher..... I really need a set of 4.10 gears though- that would be great!

i sure as hell hope that was on a track and not the damn streets!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :fire: :frustrate: :shoot:

Still thats very impressive. Being that fast with AWD and more cargo capacity.

Pretty cool!

I can't pull a Cobra, but I can pull a GT :D

i can pull almost any Honda...... ;)

and Alec, he has 2 more cyclinders than you have and another drive axle ;)

alec, you been on the dyno yet?

Not lately. Estimated from my last dyno session and mods since then, about 220-230 hp at the wheels, 280-300 tq at the wheels. Hehehe, that equals almost 300 hp and 400 tq at the motor :bounce:

Then add the nitrous

thats pretty sweet. are the stock numbers at the crank or the wheels? just wondering because mine has the SOHC and its pretty quick... although I got my butt whooped by a supercharged bonneville the other night.

Stock power numbers for the vast majority of vehicles is at the motor.

alec,

what kind of nitrous setup are you running?

Dead Link Removed

That should have most of the info you're looking for.

thanks alec...good work on the install, by the way did you ever get that remote to open up and close the bottle on the fly?? Also, do you have the stock fuel injectors and if you do how are they working witht he nitrous?

Pur Pony, that's great! Is his cobra stock?

Do you have a chip? That should help you out with that. No?

Yes- basically stock..... he has a MagnaFlow MagnaPack exhaust system, BBK long tube headers, off-raod H-pipe, and short throw shifter. His is installing a set of 4.10 gears though in the very near future so the next run it going to be a little stiffer comp.

I need a 342 stroker and 4.10 gears too!!!

ChuckyD - yes I have a chip and had the shift points raised a little.... but after more power my tranny was have a few problems... be drop the shift points back to stock.... and it still didnt help.

I then installed a Baumann stage 4 shift kit and that fixed it.... I have not since then changed my chip in any ways... maybe i will and give it a shot... run it right up to redline-lol

jz098,
Yup, everything is working great!

Alec I was wondering what a NOS system like yours runs in price. I have benn thinking of adding a bottle to mine but dont really know much about it.... I was always told though not to run NOS and a blower but i know see many doing it. Id would like to keep it low though like yours... about 65-75 shot.

where did you buy your kit?? and would it work on a 302 or does ZEX make a different kit for mine?? and does the nossle have to be 7" away from the intake??? cause i dont think mine can-

I like your faceplate... did you just cut the front off the factory radio? and how is it held in place??

thanks and sorry for all the questions-

Zex makes a kit specifially for the 5.0. It's between $5-600. www.zex.com As for the nozzle, it's best about 8-10" from the TB, but far enough away from anything before it, you just do the best you can.

A friend of mine cut the faceplate off his crapped radio. It has a trim ring of elec tape that holds it with friction.
