I am running the Trailmaster SSV shocks. They are very good. The truck rides very nicely.

Also a nother question for roberts truck (92 4x4 xlt). I am running superlift shocks on my car, but these are the three he is interested in to go with his 5.5 suspension. THanks everyone!

Kial-Would you consider Rancho RS-9000s? They are really great shocks with their adjustability. I've experienced them on trucks which my two friends own. I'm considering upgrading my RS-5000s to the 9000s. I do mostly highway driving too, but they will give me the option of adjusting them when I wander off the highway. Hope this helps.

I have the Superlift shocks that came with the lift and I don't like them at all. I've had both Rancho RS5000's and 9000's on previous 4x4s and think they are a MUCH better shock.

You can't go wrong with the Rancho RS9000's.. can adjust to whatever stiffness you want.. I have them on my lifted Explorer and they perform awesome on and off road. Next I will be getting the inside control for the 9000's... My Explorer is mostly a daily driver and grocery getter... does see the offroad during hunting season Dead Link Removed

Kial-The RS-5000s were a great improvement over the stock shocks of my '91. The ride is firm with virtually no bodyroll in the corners. It also eliminated the side to side sway of the body when going over uneven surfaces. For the price ($35) and the lifetime warranty, its a good value and performer. I'm also using Ranchos steering stabilizer. It really helps with those steering wheel jerks when hitting potholes. Hope this helps.

Do you have a adjuster on the ranchos, or did you get the interior controls? how much does this all run for? I probably am going to get the 9000's since I have seen them advertised for less then 60 bux. Thanks for your help.

Kial-Like I said, I don't think you could go wrong with the 9000s. You'll be able to customize the shock for your ride preference. I've experienced them and it'll be the shock to replace my 5000s. As for the price, I've haven't priced them yet, but I'm sure most mail order parts store or a local performance parts store could give you a good price. I got my 5000s from a local parts store here and their price was right there with most mail order places minus the shipping and handling. Hope this helps.

Kial.. the 9000's come with the adjuster on the shock itself.. The fronts are easy to adjust however without the interior control you have to go underneath the rig and adjust the dial on the back shocks. It's really no big deal.. the interior adjust would just be a luxury Dead Link Removed I don't have the inside control yet but I think it runs about $119.00 or so... I purchased my 9000's at a local performance shop and the deal was buy three get one free.. I made out real good !!!!

Rock On !!!
