Rattle noise at idle

Came home from work tonight & noticed my motor (SOHV 4.0) would make a rattle noise after it sat idleing for a short time. It drops back to around 500RPM when it happens, if you rev it up to 600, it goes away. (BTW, it is 28-30 degrees here too).

Could this be timing chain slap?

I think my 4.0 SOHC has the famous Timing Chain Tensioner Rattle. Wonder how long I can run it so I can save a few bucks to get her fixed?
