rattles...

so i just had my system installed at tweeter, and when i first pulled it out of the lot it sounded amazing, with almost no rattles. now, 2 days later, my entire back hatch sounds like its going to fall off of my car! i am planning to dynamat the hatch, but is there any way to tighten up the glass because that has started to rattle as well...? also, should i just dynamat it myself, or should i have it professionally done (if it's a relatively easy process i would prefer to save the money)?

To fix my glass rattling, I bought some weatherstripping and applied it to the glass in the locations where the glass comes into contact with the standard rubber seal. This way, instead of glass against rubber it was rubber against rubber... The seal was much tighter (glass would no longer close simply by dropping it - I have to push on it), and there are no rattles.

me and my dad were thinking of trying that out since my back window rattles like crazy. Guess I'll have to go dig up some weather stripping out of the garage.

definitely dynamat it yourself - its not rocket science. if you search on this site, youll find some pointers about location and little tips like that (and im sure dynamat has a website you can get some info from), but do it yourself. no sense in paying someon to put "stickers" on the inside of your rear hatch for you.
