Trying to pick the right rca's and looking for some direction
Are Stinger hyper series Good?
Knu KonceptZ (e-bay) any good?
How many feet for the X (head unit to trunk area)?
How did you all run your RCAs, I going to use either a set of 2 and a set of 4 channel RCAs of 3 sets of 2. is that how you guys ran yours?
I know there's alot a questions from me lately just thanking you guys for responding and helping me choosing items for my system.
Going to pick up the pioneer premier 840mp tomorrow(hopefully)

i'm running 10' Fosgate

I used two 20' Knukonceptz interconnects, and they work quite well. Mine are that long because I ran them from the HU, down below the pedals, along the side of the truck and all the way back to the trunk, and my amps are mounted on the sliding rack very near the tailgate, plus since the rack slides out, the RCAs need to be longer.

I believe I used 12' RCA cables from Radioshack in my previous install, and to be completely honest with you, I did not notice a SQ difference between the two. The KnuKonceptz wires have A LOT more shielding, but if you run your RCAs correctly (nowhere near power or ground wires), that really does not matter. Any decent set of gold-plated interconnects that you could find at Radioshack will work just fine.

ya i guess i should have mentioned i ran mine from the back of my headunit down the passenger side of the truck and the the back of the rear seats where my amps are........

I always use Esoteric (made by RF). I have the old Musica 200's now the Low Noise something or others. Don't drop a ton of money on your RCA's... Just plan out your system and don't run an RCA anywhere near a power wire. Common sense is better than super expensive shielding.

I use an Audiobahn to my amp for my sub. Seems to work fine and it was pretty cheap from the zeb.

I must warn you now, if I hear of anyone using Monster cable (or anything made by Mogami) or any other super-pricey crap, I will slap you like you've never been slapped before :D

never used Monster-but what do you have against it? i know of a lot of people that have used it-no experiences but i have really never heard anything bad about it.

Oh, there's nothing bad about the cable at all, it's fine cable. So is cable from Radio Shack that's about 1/10'th the price. You pay for the name when you get Monster, and you pay dearly. Yes, the cable IS better than most, but the differences can be seen only on a scope, they can't be discerned by the human ear.

i understand BUT....people like the "name brand sh*t" almost anyone who does car audio has heard of Monster thats why people buy it-not the "brand X" stuff from Radio Shack, i'm not defending Monster-all i'm saying is i hope your not bashing people who bought the "name brand, expensive" wiring kits, because i too have a name brand kit (Fosgate) i didn't buy it just because it has 'Fosgate' on it, i bought it b/c i know they make quality products (don't mean to sound offensive or anything like that) just my .02

personally i dont think theres a difference between RCA's the twisted and and blah blah crap isnt going to help you out one bit....just keep the power & rca's on opposite sides of the car and you wont get any noise unless you have a really bad ground somewhere

all rca's are basically the same....just buy the cheap sh*t

For best sound, use some home audio interconnects. Try Kimber or Nordost. Good stuff.

I'm not bashing anyone. All I'm saying is that buying the name brand stuff is no better than the generic stuff you can get at Radio Shack. Sorry, they're just a waste of money. You have every right to buy it, but the only difference you'll feel is a lighter wallet.

I'm gonna have to disagree with you on the whole Radio Shack is better line. I run a professional audio system for recording artists and the cheapo RCA's never last more than a month before they get a short in them. Numerous times I have had problems with them picking up noise from outside sources, so I never buy them. You can get good RCA's for cheap, just make sure they have good shielding. I personally have 3 16' Rockford's in my X, coming from the HU down passenger side to the back. It cannot be stressed enough to keep them away from your power wires. I don't want to start a fight, that is just my opinion from my own experiences.

The radio shack line was just used as an example; my point is not that Radio Shack is superior by any means (I get all of my studio cables from a factory direct supplier). My point is that name brand cables, be it Monster, Fosgate, Mogami (who owns Monster), what have you, are not worth the money. I've tested it time and time again with people who swear by Monster cable, and none of them can tell the difference. It's all placebo. I've gone so far as to cut the jacket off of a monster cable (just the outer rubber part) and put it onto a generic one, and the person who swore up and down that Monster was better, now told me that the generic sounded better (since I had put the Monster jacket on it without his knowledge).

I've never bought cables from Radio Shack. They may very well develop shorts easily, but I never spend much money on cables of any kind, be they RCA, XLR, coax, etc.

i understand completely.....i aslo understand that you were just making a point-as was i......so you get your cables factory direct? Are you sponsored in a=ny way or do you just know the right people?
