I have a Lund sun visor on my Ex, and noticed the other day when I was washing it that water had found its way inside to the headliner right where it meets the top of the windshield. And I figured that the water was coming in through the screw holes that were drilled in the body to secure the visor to my Ex. I had sealent around all the holes, and it looked pretty deteriorated (visor has been on about 5 years) when I got the visor off to replace the bolts. Today I went and bought some stainless steel bolts to go back in and now I want suggestions on a good sealant to keep everything nice and dry. I have some clear silicone down in the garage, but was curious as to what you guys would suggest......

I think silicone sealant is probably your best option for sealing it up.

Doug is right. I would go to home depot or a paint supply store and check the different brands. I know when I was painting the stuff we used was guaranteed to hold from 15-25+ years.

I will have to check and see how long the stuff in the garage is supposed to last. I was going to try and get it done today, but I got lazy:p I have to pick up some bolt head covers tomorrow anyhow, so I will look at what kind of silicone they have.

If its for outdoor use(no duh , right :))..try RTV silcone as that is what it is made for...super durible,heat/cold resistant, and slightly pricey.
