Really rough idel

Ok guys I just bought this 2003 explorer xlt with the 4.0 motor it runs really bad all the time new plugs and wires and coil pack it sounds like it has a huge vacuum leak but can not find it sprayed strarting fluid all around intake and never changed anything plz help oh it has 139,000 miles

Smoke the throttle body and vacuum. when running, it sounds like a huge sucking sound, than it IS most likely a line. if not, do a simple search here. There are about eleventy billion threads on this. :/

Some here have found the PVC line with a hole in it. I would check that.

Tried the PVC and no problems there lost on this thing the old guy I bought it from said the ford dealer told him it dropped number 2 piston and needs new motor for 4500 bucks don't seem like it dropped it

Check the brake booster line and its canister
