Really weird problem...

Its been getting cold here in Iowa, and when my truck is in drive and I come to a stop...it starts idleing low and then the truck starts jumping like its going to die...and then today I came to a stop light, waited and then tried pushing the gas and it was idleing so low that i couldnt get power to go I had to pull over and shut the truck off...


help me?

Gum in your injectors made more prevelant by the extreme cold. Clean your injector heads.
 






thanks, and I may sound dumb but you mean just get some injector cleaner? ...
 






I would doubt the injectors are clogged, but you can try some cleaner. Not worth it to remove them for that.

But try cleaning you Idle Air Controller (IAC). These commonly get dirty and go bad so it could very well be the issue.

Search for IAC on the forums and you should find a thread to help you do it.
 






It very well could be your injectors. It could also be your plug wires, plugs, maybe a vaccum leak. I would say that the least expensive solution would be to buy a $3 bottle of injector cleaner and see if it helps then go from there.
 






For Injector Cleaner, I recommend the Lucas Injector Cleaner, you can buy it at most auto stores, it kinda looks like olive oil and has a green cap on it. Good stuff
 












Check all the vacuum connections on the vac tree located on the drivers side back by the firewall.
