I know it's a typical problem for blower fans to only work on high due to a bad resistor pack but is it possible for it to only affect one speed?

I did some searching but didn't find anything...is the problem I am having a common one?

If it isn't does anyone know where the resistor pack for the rear fan control would be? Is it possible the fan is starting to go out and can't spin at the lower speed? I guess a bad swich in the overhead console could be the cause too (I don't have rear a/c controls in the rear.)

Any other problems I might have missed that could be causing this?

*bump*

Any thoughts?

I'm with you, I'm guessing the problem is with the resistor pack.

Any idea where the resistor pack for the rear fan control would be located?

I'm wishing for a Helm Factory manual for this car for my b-day, so I won't have to ask these little questions. :-)

Im not trying to insult anyone here!!!! You may already know this, but sometimes the simplest answer is the right one.

In my truck, the first position past off for the rear fan gives control to the rear set of controls. If the rear set of controls is off, then no fan. the second click past off is low.

Thanks

If it is the rear blower motor I do have a spare. I would sell it to you for cheap. I bought one at a salvage yard thinking it was my problem when it wasn't so it's on the shelf in the garage if you need one. I did hook it up and so it does work.

Thanks for the idea however I don't have any rear controls just the one up front in the head liner.... :(

The resistor is housed near the blower motor. In my 02 that is under the trim on the drivers side rear area near the tailgate. Pry (carefully) the plastic grill/cover out of the trim. You should have easy access to blower and resistor.
