I had a JVC MP3/HD radio in the 1999 Ranger. I would like to put it in the 2002 Sport Trac I just purchased. However, my truck has the rear audio controls, and I don't want to lose them with the aftermarket setup.

Is there a way to retain the rear controls with an aftermarket stereo?

I would think it should still work??? Idk.

I don't believe there is any way to do so, as I have yet to see anything that allows for that. However, that doesn't mean that something doesn't exist, it just means I haven't seen it yet. :)

Oh, and just to clarify the aftermarket deck would need dual tuners (one for front and rear), separate amplified headphone output with volume control, and the ability to automatically fade out the rear channels when the second tuner is activated. It's a tricky thing for an aftermarket manufacturer to make, and nearly impossible to do with a secondary adapter harness (I say nearly impossible because it could interrupt the rear speaker output as well as tap the speakers for headphone outputs, but the dual tuner thing is out of it's league). Sorry, just felt like clearing that up (I'm working right now and didn't think I'd have the time for this in my previous post, but I guess I was wrong :D ).
